I'm Tim Portnoy, a multidisciplinary designer based in Tel Aviv, Israel. I specialize in designing visually stunning and highly functional solutions, particularly for complex products and design systems.
My skills include UI/UX, brand design, typography, AI image generation, marketing, graphic design, and 3D, and I use tools like Figma, Stable Diffusion, Blender, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, Procreate, and more.
I love creating designs that solve problems and impress. Whether it's an app, a brand, or something else, I tailor my designs to be functional and beautiful for every project.
Asides design, I love learning languages, experimental music and perfecting my aeropress technique.
What I Believe In
Human-Centered Design
Designing products that understand and serve the people who use them, with empathy and intuitive solutions.
Designing for Code
Understanding the technical limitations and possibilities to create seamless user experiences.
Continuous Improvement
Embracing iteration and feedback to create products that evolve with users' needs.
Collaborative Mindset
Design is not a solo act. Good design emerges from diverse expertise, shared passions, and collective problem-solving.
Built to Last
Designing with a focus on long-term value, rather than just following trends.
Lifelong Learning
Design education is an ongoing adventure filled with exploration, curiosity, learning from errors, and continuous growth as a designer.
Making this portfolio a reality
Coding My Portfolio from Scratch
As a designer, I realized the importance of understanding how my designs are built. Starting with zero coding knowledge, I took on the challenge to learn frontend development, in order to code my portfolio from the ground up.
Now, my portfolio serves as a testament to not only my design abilities but also my commitment to understanding and implementing the technical foundations that make those designs a reality.
This self-taught coding journey has been crucial in allowing me to deliver complete design solutions that are as functional as they are visually compelling.
